good morning
I have an idea for what I believe is a new product for the marine industry. Before pursuing the invention further as a business proposition could you advise on the following?
1/ what is the costs of registering a patent in the UK?
2/ What is the cost of registering a patent in USA?
3/ what are the annual renwal fees in UK & USA
4/ The IPO advice booklet states that
‘As well as being ‘new’, an invention can only be patented if itis:
• inventive – not an obvious modification of what is already
known; and
• capable of being used in any kind of industry’
My idea is not suitable for use in any industry, does that preclude it from being patentable?
